Intake interview

The intake interview aims to collect key information about the client's background, concerns, and goals to create an appropriate treatment plan. It is the first interaction between the client and clinician, where the clinician may outline what to expect, including the interview duration. The intake also helps identify and diagnose the client's issues, guiding the treatment process. If the clinician feels they lack the expertise to assist, they may refer the client to another professional during this interview.
